50-minute office session - $185
Intake session - $200No Surprises Act
Under the “no surprises act,” health care providers must provide un-insured or self-pay patients, upon request, a “Good Faith Estimate” of the total expected charges for non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you agree to a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or photo of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate. For more information, talk with your provider or click here: https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises

FAQ
-
We’ll start with a free 15 minute phone consultation. If we decide to move forward together, we’ll then schedule the first session.
At our initial appointment, we’ll talk about what brought you in, family history, and goals in counseling.
Ongoing sessions occur weekly or every other week, lasting around 50-55 minutes. Typically, we meet weekly starting out to help you build momentum. We can then move to every other week sessions as you start to feel progress.

Of course! I have a cozy, but spacious office set up to help you and your baby be comfortable. You are welcome to do whatever you need to do to care for your baby (change diapers, nurse, bottle feed, walk around).
Once your baby is verbal, it's best to attend sessions without them. Many moms also find that the break and uninterrupted time is quite healing.
-
Many moms have this fear. Keep in mind that thoughts alone do not equal action. The fact that you are concerned and seeking support indicates how much you want to help yourself and in turn keep your baby safe. I want you to feel like our sessions are a safe and confidential space. The two exceptions where I am obligated to break confidentiality are:
1) If you have a plan and/or intention of hurting yourself or someone else and
2) If I have concerns about your safety or your family's safety based on our thorough, professional assessment of multiple factors. In these cases, I am legally obligated to keep everyone safe. I’m here to support you.

The decision to take medication is a deeply personal one, and there is no one size fits all. For some women, medication is a helpful part of treatment. And many women heal from postpartum depression and anxiety without medication.
If you decide you are interested in a referral for medication , I am happy to connect you to a trusted medical provider who specializes in care for pregnant and postpartum women.

Yes. I primarily see people in person at my office in Boise and offer HIPAA-compliant video sessions to a few clients. Virtual sessions are also always an option for regular clients if they are sick.
-
The process looks different for each person. Some people get great benefit from 4-6 sessions, most people come for several months. Others continue their work for longer. We will continually check-in about how sessions are feeling to you and progress you are noticing. My main goal is to empower you in making the changes you want, and you will usually know when you are ready to be done.
