Trauma Therapy

Healing the Past, So You Can Feel More Whole in the Present

Trauma isn’t just something that happened in the past—it can live on in the body, in the nervous system, and in the ways you relate to yourself and the world around you.

— You might notice it as a constant feeling of unease

—Feeling overwhelmed

—Having a hard time trusting others

—Reminders of the traumatic event

—Or just feeling disconnected from who you used to be.

All that to say, trauma hijacks the present moment and leaves you feeling stuck.

In our work together, I use a mind-body approach to healing that honors your whole self—not just your thoughts, but your sensations, emotions, and inner wisdom too.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that helps people heal from trauma and other upsetting life experiences. While it’s best known for treating things like PTSD and traumatic events, EMDR can also be really helpful for people going through distressing situations like:

- breakup or divorce

- big life changes or transitions

- grief

- anxiety

- or anything that feels hard to move past.

It’s a powerful, research-backed approach that helps you process what’s been overwhelming, so you can feel more grounded, whole, and present in your life.
